Abstract

One of most controversial topics today is if NASA should receive more government funding. If NASA receives more funding they could move the human race forward into another age of exploration, but is all this worth the cost? After all, that money could be spent on problems we have here on Earth such as poverty or world hunger. This website was created to help provide an answer to this long lasting question.

Four Topic Questions

  1. How has the General Population Benefitted from NASA?

  2. Is Space Travel Really Worth it?

  3. Are the projects that NASA is working on now worth the amount of money they cost?

  4. Have the Apollo missions and missions from the space race been more successful than missions we have now, despite having better technology?

About me

I am Jackson Seaborn, a current senior at Wakefield School in the Plains Virginia. I have been going to Wakefield since fourth grade, and even then I had a fascination with astronomy and space. When I was a kid, I used to look up at the stars and wonder if I would ever live to see the day where we reach them. This long love of astronomy is what encouraged me to choose this topic. I always knew NASA's funding was not the best, and wondered about what would happen if NASA had more money for their projects. This thesis topic was the perfect excuse for me to research the topic I love.
